      • diagnostic excision if negative bx but pap favor neoplasia

      • sheets, strips
      • crowding
      • cell borders often disctinct
      • nuclear atypia
        • increased NC ratio
        • overlap
        • pseudostratification
        • mild hyperchromasia
        • mild chromatin irregularity
        • occasional nucleoli
        • mitosis is rare
    • atypical endocervical cells, favor neoplastic
      • sheets, strips
      • cell borders ill-defined
      • nuclear atypia
        • enlarged
        • NC ratio increased
        • often elongated
        • some hyperchromasia
        • crowding
        • overlap
        • pseudostratification
        • irregular chromatin
        • occasional mitosis, apoptosis
      • rare rosettes, feathering
    • atypical endometrial cells
      • small groups of 5-10 cells
      • nuclear atypia
        • nuclei larger than normal endometrial
        • mild hyperchromasia
        • irregular chromatin
        • occasional small nucleoli
      • scant cytoplasm
      • occasional vacuole
      • cell border ill-defined
