Normal- White pulp: Follicles (B cells), periarteriolar lymphatic sheaths (T cells)
- Red pulp: sinuses (littoral cell lining), cords (macrophages/monocytes, reticular cells)
- RES system: capillary -> cord -> sinus -> venules
White pulp- follicles have malpighian corpuscles
- prominent marginal zone (pale)
- everything else same as lymph node
Red pulp- RBC: anisopoik (hemoglobinopathy, membrane dz, hemolysis)
- WBC: leukemia, histiocytic (see lymph node), mastocytosis
- vascular: littoral cell angioma, Kaposi, angiosarcoma
- extramedullary hematopoiesis
- other: trauma, congestion, storage dz, metastasis
