  • Cytology

    • groups of atypical urothelial cells
    • central nuclei, smooth contour, finely granular chromatin
    • can have more significant atypia

  • Ddx

    • unable to distinguish from low grade neoplasm (papilloma, PUNLMP, low grade UC)
    • those with more significant atypia can be mistaken for malignancy
