Ulcerative colitis

• mucosa confined
• confined to colon
• continuous distal to proximal

Chronic quiescent colitis

• Architectural change without neutrophilic inflammation
• Signout: Colonic mucosa with mild crypt disarray
• No active colitis, granulomas, viral cytopathic effect, or dysplasia

• infectious colitis
• drug induced colitis
• ischemic colitis
• peptic ulcer

Signout

• Chronic active colitis/enteritis
• No dysplasia or viral cytopathic effect identified
• Comment: These findings could be consistent with IBD in the appropriate clinical setting
