    • architecture: nests, non-infiltrative border
    • location: beneath normal urothelium
    • cytology: urothelial cells, benign, can have clear cell change
    • can be associated with cystitis cystica (cysts) and cystitis glandularis (glands)
  • Ddx

    • invasive carcinoma (malignant cytology)
    • inverted papilloma (more crowded)
    • carcinoid (neuroendocrine look)
    • paraganglioma, paraganglia cells (has small vessels)
