  • Clinical

    • rare, < 1% of colonic polyps
    • large size (> 0.5cm), often pedunculated
    • left colon (particularly sigmoid and rectum)
    • mean age 60s
    • tx complete endoscopic removal with future surveilence
  • Histology

    • often papillary, vilifiorm, pedunculated
    • prominent serration, abnormal crypt architecture
    • hypereosinophilic cells, presence of dysplasia, nuclear stratification
