- TTP, HUS
- DIC
Gross- petechial subcapsular hemorrhage
- red-yellow mottling if infarct
- normal weight
Histology- acute: fibrinoid necrosis (arterioles and glomeruli)
- chronic: glomerular collapse, glomerular basement membrane duplication, proliferative endarteritis (concentric/onion skin myointimal proliferation in artery)
- other findings: RBC in tubules, thrombi in vessels and glomeruli, fragmented RBCs
