    • sporadic or hereditary (hereditary renal/urogenital dysplasia)
    • kidney can be large or small
    • unilateral or bilateral
    • obstruction, dilated ureter, posterior urethral valves
  • Histology

    • architectural distortion
    • cysts
    • immature cartilage
    • spindle cells around dysplastic ducts
    • interstitial fibrosis
    • foci of normal nephrons
