Clinical- metastasis common at diagnosis
- prognosis in between anaplastic and differentiated thyroid cancers
- can not definitely diagnose based on FNA
Cytology- hypercellular (nests, cords, solid), can have some microfollicles
- monomorphic, some hyperchromasia, but pleomorphism is minimal
- mitosis, necrosis
- can have features of papillary follicular or Hurthle cell carcinoma
