Clinical- site: upper extremities (65%), lower extremities (27%)
Histology- architecture: multinodular or plexiform cell clusters
- 3 cell types: histiocyte-like, spindle, multinucleated giant cells
- subtypes
- fibrohistiocytic: nodules of histiocyte-like cells
- fibroblastic: elongated clusters and short fascicles of fibroblast-like cells
- mixed: both of the above
Stains- positive: vimentin, CD68, SMA
- CD68 in histiocyte-like cells and giant cells
