  • Clinical

    • median age: 60
    • soft tissue site: proximal extremities and girdles

  • Histology

    • architecture: multinodular with fibrous septa
    • cytology: epithelioid or spindled, pink granular vacuolated cytoplasm, oval nuclei
    • stroma: myxoid or chondromyxoid, hemorrhage is common
    • can have areas of sheets of high grade epithelioid cells
    • cellular variant: diffusely cellular, more mitosis

  • Stains

    • positive: vimentin
