    • Suspect reflux: Squamous mucosa with patchy increase in intraepithelial lymphocytes and reactive changes, suggestive of gastroesophageal reflux

      • increased intraepithelial lymphocytes in the esophagus is a nonspecific finding
      • given the presence of associated neutrophils and rare eosinophils, severe reflux is a possibility
