  • Clinical

    • site: extremities (70%), trunk (20%), head and neck (7%)

  • Histology

    • architecture: multinodular, fibrous septa with hemosiderin laden macrophages
    • cytology: mixture of round-oval mononuclear cells and multinucleated giant cells
    • 1/2 have metaplastic bone, 30% have cysts filled with blood.

  • Stains

    • positive: vimentin, CD68, SMA
