    • reflux nephropathy: vesicoureteral reflux, compound pyramid
    • obstructive pyelonephritis: obstruction +/- infection

  • Gross

    • small kidneys
    • reflux: polar scars in pyramid
    • obstructive: diffuse scars

  • Histology

    • tubular atrophy, pink colloid casts in tubules (thyroidization)
    • interstitial fibrosis
    • chronic inflammation
    • glomerulosclerosis
