Clinical- prototype: pyothorax -> pyothorax-associated lymphoma
- other sites: bone (chronic osteomyelitis), joint, soft tissue near joint
- association: EBV
- male predominance (12:1)
Morphology- large blasts with single or multiple nucleoli
- can have necrosis and angiocentric growth
Stains- positive: B markers (CD20, CD79a), EBV
- plasmacytic differentiation: can lose B markers and gain CD138, MUM1
- can have abberant T markers, CD30
