  • Clinical

    • age: 10-25 or 40-50 if skull involvement
    • site: long bones (75%), acetabulum, ilium, talus, calcaneus, patella, temporal bone
  • Histology

    • architecture: sheets
    • chondroblasts: nuclear clefts/grooves, round/polygonal cells, pink or clear cytoplasm
    • osteoclast type giant cells
    • can have pericellular (chickenwire) calcifications, aneurysmal bone cyst-like changes, typical mitosis
  • Stains

    • chondroblasts: S100, vimentin
    • can be positive for CK
