    • small, circumscribed, involves rete tips/sides
    • well nested, round/oval nests
    • has maturation and dispersion
      • maturation = smaller and spindled melanocytes at the bottom
      • disperses to single units at base of lesion
    • lacks deep mitosis or pigmentation

  • Stains

    • HMB45 top heavy
    • MIB1 spares deep nuclei
