      • type 2: predominantly goblet cells
      • stains: CDX2, MUC2, CEA, CK20
    • foveolar type adenocarcinoma
      • tall columnar cells
      • basal nuclei
      • abundant mucin cytoplasm
      • stains: MUC5A
    • mucinous adenocarcinoma
      • > 50% tumors extracellular mucin by convention
      • stains: CK, CEA
      • ddx: mucocele
    • signet ring carcinoma
    • clear cell adenocarcinoma
    • hepatoid adenocarcinoma
