Sezary syndrome

  • Clinical

    • triad: erythroderma, generalized lymphadenopathy, clonal cerebriform T cells
    • additionally: cerebriform cell > 1000/mm3, CD4/8 > 10, or T antigen loss
    • age > 60
    • leukemia (blood involved)
  • Morphology

    • infiltrate of monotonous cerebriform cells
    • non-specific skin biopsy does not rule it out, need peripheral blood eval
  • Stains

    • positive: CD2, CD3, CD4, CD5, TCRB
    • negative: CD7, CD26
