    • hypercalcemia
    • can be mistaken for thyroid nodule
    • mistaken cytologic diagnosis of follicular lesion

  • Cytology

    • mostly monomorphic
    • round nuclei, coarsely granular

  • Stains

    • positive for PTH
    • negative for thyroglobulin
