    • rare, 1% lymphocytic leukemias
    • age 60+
    • site: blood, marrow, spleen

  • Labs

    • prolymphocytes > 55% of lymphoid cells in blood

  • Morphology

    • prolymphocytes
      • large cells: 2x size of lymphocytes
      • immaturish: round nuclei, prominent nucleoli, small amount of cytoplasm
    • > 55% circulating cells are prolymphocytes

  • Stains

    • pos: CD20
    • CD5 (20%), CD23 (10%)

  • Ddx

    • MCL with t(11;14)
