  • Clinical

    • < 1% of DLBCL
    • male predominance (3:1)
    • site: mostly nodes and mediastinum

  • Morphology

    • sinusoidal (in node sinuses)
    • large blasts
    • central nucleoli
    • pale nuclei
    • abundant cytoplasm
    • can have atypical multinucleated giant cells

  • Stains

    • positive: ALK, EMA, plasma cell markers (CD138, VS38)
    • negative: CD3, CD20, CD79a, CD45, CD30
